ON SUNDAY, IN MARIEMBOURG, THE WHOLE GROUP OF TONY KART RACING TEAM WON BOTH ON AND OUTSIDE THE TRACK

A strange event characterized the start in the first KF1 race. The whole group was ready, the drivers were lined up for the starting, they were going along the straight when the light of the traffic lights didn’t go out or better it stayed red.
Despite this strange event a great part of the group started, while only a few drivers didn’t start in the right way thinking that the start wasn’t valid, among them there was also our Gary Catt.
The situation was really strange: some drivers were fast while other much slower , in this mess, our Gary Catt was bumped and was forced to give-up the race.
The race director considered the starting valid in spite of this happening.
At the end of race-1, in which we gained a great success with Marco Ardigò, our driver Gary Catt explained his reasons to the team, first of all to the Team Manager Giacomo Aliprandi.
Catt, considering to have suffered a damage due to the incorrect starting procedure, asked the whole team to support his official protest, of course the Tony Kart Racing Team decided to support him strongly.
What happened at the start in the first race influenced the two finals and consequently the Championship rating of our driver Catt too, leader of the European Championship.
The whole team supported Catt’s position, presenting a formal protest against this incorrect starting procedure of race-1.
Apart from the outcome of this protest , our action proved that we are an extremely  united team, all drivers are always ready to help and support each other in case of need.
Besides the great technical qualities of our material, we have also proved to be an harmonious group, working well together.
The whole team is extremely proud of this atmosphere within the group.

Giacomo Aliprandi Tony Kart Racing Team Team Manager
“We are really satisfied winning both 2 races. Before this race we worked hard nonstop in order to develop the material in the best way. This success proves the Team’s efforts.
Concerning the protests against the wrong starting procedure, I want to underline the Team’s behaviour, apart from the decision took by the sportive authority. We supported Gary and we proved another time that our Team is always coherent and united.”

Gary Catt –Tony Kart Racing Team, KF1 Driver –Leader of the European Championship
“In the first start the traffic lights stayed red! The starting procedure wasn’t right, but a part of the group started thinking that it was correct, so the Race Director didn’t give the order to repeat the start. In that mess some drivers started, others stopped and someone bumped me. I didn’t compete in the first race without gaining precious points for the Championship”.
