Tony Kart and Vortex were on the verge of success on the occasion of the Cik-Fia Asian Pacific event held on the Japanese circuit of Suzuka last week
Ignazio D’Agosto gained a positive second place and many drivers racing the Japanese competition on Tony Kart-Vortex material particularly shone. This race was considerably influenced by difficult weather conditions and a lot of rain pouring down. Yu Kanamaru, a family driver, won two rounds and ended up finishing 4th place in the very final, even though during the first steps of the competition he had been involved in a hard fight.
Shinotani (Hirano Team) costantly remained in the first tenth positions; Josè Olmedo, forced to start in the last position in the final, raced a wonderful competition, fully taking advantage of the balance skills of the Racer EVR chassis and of the very good RAD supply, ending by this way in tenth position.
Butcher (Tony Kart-Vortex), after the very good 6th place at the end of the rounds, during the pre-final unfortunately did not recover from the bagarre.
To be mentioned also the Kosmic Kart-Vortex performances, driven by Miyazwa, in 2nd place at the end of the qualifying rounds. |
