MAZEPIN AND SCHUMACHER IN F1: THE BEST OF LUCK FROM TONY KART!

The two drivers, who grew up within our Tony Kart Racing Team, will make their World Championship debut this weekend with Haas at the Bahrain Grand Prix. We wish them all the best on track throughout the 2021 season.

A new pair of drivers, with whom we are very familiar, is entering the world of Formula 1, the world motorsport championship par excellence. Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher will be driving the two Haas single-seaters throughout the 2021 season, but this is not the first time the two have found themselves under the same... Roof! Actually, the Russian and the German drivers were teammates in our Tony Kart Racing Team, taking their first steps on the international karting scene with us.

With one racing season behind him, Nikita joined our team in 2013, attending the WSK Master Series in the KFJ (now OKJ) category. The young Russian immediately shows his skills and the results are soon coming: 4th position in the final championship’s ranking, which takes him to the upgrade to KF (now OK) for the year 2014. Nikita starts with an 8th place in the WSK Super Master Series and obtains the title of vice-champion in the single round of the CIK-FIA World Championship of that year.

On his debut, Mick joins Nikita in the KFJ category for the 2013 season, growing from race to race until he gets the 3rd position in the CIK-FIA International Super Cup, held in a single round, too. In 2014, the German continues in the same category and distinguishes himself with two second positions both in the CIK-FIA European KF-Junior Championship and in the CIK-FIA World KF-Junior Championship.

Thanks to these results and after two seasons in our Racing Team, Nikita and Mick move on to the minor formulas and climb the various championships through the successes on track and the titles they obtain at the end of the year. The dream of Formula 1 is here and now: this weekend they will debut on the Sakhir circuit (Bahrain) in the top formula. We wish both our former drivers the best of luck!
