Tony Kart is the 2026 WSK Super Master Series Champion
In the fifth and final round at Franciacorta, the Tony Kart Rookie finishes second in the MINI Gr.3 final and gains the title with driver Zane Pace. In the MINI Gr.3 U10 category, meanwhile, Blake Hsueh finishes the championship in third place.
The Tony Kart Racing Team wins its first title of the season on the occasion of the final round of the WSK Super Master Series. At the Franciacorta Karting Track (Italy), the Tony Kart Rookie, powered by a Vortex Engines VTM unit, gains the MINI Gr.3 title, finishing the final race in second place. The “Rookie” chassis also finishes third in the MINI Gr.3 U10 championship standings. The Tony Kart Racer 401 T also goes on track in the OK, OKJ and OKJ-N categories, powered by engines from the OTK Kart Group’s “engine division”.
Zane Pace once again proves himself to be one of the key players of the weekend in the MINI Gr.3, in a championship that has consistently seen him at the top of the standings. The driver from Malta opens Friday gaining the second-fastest time in Group 2 of the qualifyings, before securing a third-place finish as his best result in the heats and a second-place finish in B Pre-Final. In the final, thanks to an excellent start, Pace immediately joins the fight for the leading positions, also distinguishing himself with the fastest lap of the race. Our driver finishes in second place, a result that allows him to be crowned champion of the category with a total of 367 points.
Alvaro Medeiros is the Racing Team’s second-best-placed driver in the final, finishing six places higher than his starting position. Alfie Richard Mair finishes not far behind his Brazilian team-mate, having set the fastest time in Friday’s free practice and a fast lap in the qualifying heats. Nahil Padovani obtains the victory in the C-D heat, but a collision on the first lap of B Pre-Final forces him to start from the middle of the pack in the final, a situation that prevents him from achieving a positive result. Farel Beretta Dugat and David Aagten run a race going better and better, with the Polish driver setting the fastest time in Sunday morning’s warm-up.
In the MINI Gr.3 U10, Blake Hsueh ends the championship with an important result. The American driver – fresh from a podium finish in the final of the fourth round at Lonato del Garda – wins the A pre-Final on Sunday morning, climbing not less than twelve places, and finishes the final in the top 10. With a total of 276 points, Hsueh finishes third in the championship standings.
In OK class, Iskender Zulfikari leads our line-up right from the qualifyings, gaining a second place in Group 1, followed by two wins and a third place in the heats. In the final, without making a single mistake, the Turkish driver completes the weekend with a top-10 finish. In his first attendance of the season with our racing division, Gilles Herman stands out in the final, climbing not less than seventeen places from his starting position. Jindřich Pešl finishes behind the Belgian driver, having secured two third-place finishes and a fastest lap in the qualifying heats, as well as a fifth-place finish in the A Pre-Final.
Thomas Pradier also attends the final, following a solid, error-free weekend. Less fortunate, however, are Gabriel Canal, Ilie Tristan Crisan and Endo Arata, who nonetheless show off convincing performances in view of the rest of the season.
In OKJ class, Julian Frasnelli narrowly misses out on the podium following a hard-fought final. The Italian driver, who sets the fastest time in the first qualifying group, soon performs a very good start from the centre of the grid and running close to the leading group, fighting for a top-three finish in a sprint finish on the final lap after gaining twelve positions.
Oiva Vettenranta and Stepan Mazepin are also protagonists of the race, with two comebacks of sixteen and fourteen places, respectively. It is a pity, however, that Jean Poujol has to retire on the third lap of the final, having secured second place as his best result in B-D heat. Martin Luis Bertolaccini, Antonio Ianni and Yubo Wen continue their growing path within our racing department.
In OKJ-N class, Augustin Feligioni is our best performer over the weekend. The Belgian driver sets the third place in Friday’s free practice and climbs nine places during the final. Victor Thomas Gorun also attends the weekend’s final race, having set the fastest time in his warm-up session on Saturday. Valentino Manassero and Linghan Li perform valuable training ahead of the upcoming events scheduled on the calendar.
Within two weeks, the Tony Kart Racing Team will face the first round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series at Muro Leccese (April 1st–4th), with drivers of OK and OKJ categories.
