A Winning Tradition

20 YEARS AT THE TOP OF WORLD KARTING

For many years, the Racer has been the reference point for the Tony Kart range. From 2000, the various editions of this model have collected 8 world championships along with other international titles in various categories. The new 401R continues this success story, improving various features but most notably the level of componentry. Among the new innovations, the new ‘high-grip’ steering wheel with an inclined steering hub boss, the integrated enclosed frontal area with the new M7 Series front spoiler. Also newly designed graphics.
Remaining unchanged though, is the chassis geometry and design. Just as the cornerstones of philosophy at the base of the project also do not change; highest quality materials, technologically advanced processes, constant development carried out and developed by the Tony Kart Racing Team at the most important races around the world.

BSD Brake Caliper

RACING TEAM GUARANTEED’ PERFORMANCE

For the direct-drive categories, the Racer 401R is equipped with the BSD braking system, which has already been successful on the previous 401S model. The rear brake caliper has been forged from a single piece, with two pistons of 34.5mm inside with brake movement recovery, combined with evolution brake lines and DOT 5.1 brake fluid. The calipers and master cylinders are made from Ergal material, chosen for it’s notable property of mechanical resistance and is in turn increased by a hardening and thickening oxidation process which serves to minimize the wear on moving components. The latest technical measures have been developed by the official Tony Kart Racing Team on track in the most competitive and prestigious races around the world. The toughest racing conditions have delivered the driver a very high quality braking system.

M7 Spoiler

AN EVOLUTION IN AERODYNAMICS

Following on from the incredible work undertaken by the R&D Department of the OTK Kart Group in the field of aerodynamics. Thanks to testing carried out both in the wind tunnel and also in CFD computer simulations, the OTK M6 was already homologated in 2015 ensuring optimal airflow and functionality to the kart. Now, following on from this is the new M7 front spoiler (or Nassau panel) which further reduces aero drag, particularly on the fastest straights of the longest circuits. The M7 combines with front spoiler to create a fully covered frontal area of the front chassis rails and tubing. This is a solution which improves the aerodynamic drag co-efficient and reduces the creation of air vortices in the ‘C’ section of the chassis.

New Steering Wheel

COMFORT AND SENSITIVE FEEL WHEN DRIVING

The constant improvements at the centre of the daily working philosophy at the OTK Kart Group, examines and improves every aspect and every single component of the kart. The Racer 401R in particular, sees the introduction of the new steering wheel which is a high-grip wheel that is also designed to give maximum sensitivity and feel to every driver. Complimenting the new wheel is the inclined steering wheel boss, which allows the steering position to be adjusted to suit each individual driver.

Dedicated to the Gearbox Categories

IN SEARCH OF PERFECTION

The approach of the OTK Kart Group is to always and only to use materials of the highest possible quality, manufacturing with automated equipment to guarantee the complete replication of each item to the highest quality a kart dedicated to the KZ categories. This is infact, the most complete kart, to which all the main technical characteristics are also present on the OK kart, but with the addition of some specific details. For example the optimized chassis design and the BSS braking system which includes front brakes. These are characterised by single-piece calipers, equipped with 4 sets of 22mm pistons with brake movement recovery to guarantee powerful, quick and adjustable braking.
